On Thursday we saw the opening of ‘General Synopsis’ along with the Cambridge Artists Network meet up, you can find some exciting photos of this event by Martin Levy on our gallery page on our website. We also have some nice photos from Drink & Draw Collabradoodle, which took place at Hot Numbers on the 6th of August.  This Drink & Draw event was hosted by artist Sa’adiah Khan, the aim was to challenge ideas of control and restraints in art through play.


We’ve got some sneak peaks of rehearsal from Toby Peters & Gaze is Ghost for our closing party on the 17th courtesy of Wesley Freeman-Smith - our closing party will take place at St Philip’s Community Church on Mill Road from 8pm. You can buy your tickets here and find more information on the event on the Slate The Disco website.


Don’t forget over the next few days you can catch some more exciting events- Poetry at the Empress Pub on the 12th at 7pm which will include a screening of ‘The Road’ by Ed Jenkins, this will also be screened on the 14th at Frameworks between 1:30- 5:30pm, and on the 15th at The Maker’s Gallery between 2 and 5pm. Rebel Arts will be presenting their event ‘Rebel Spring’ at Romsey Labour Club before our exciting closing party on the 17th! Also on the 17th is an event called ‘Love Letters to Strangers’ taking place at Otto’s Café on Mill Road from 2 until 4pm with Ellie Clark & Katy MacDonald.

General Synopsis, Rebel Arts & CamLakes

You can now find information on an upcoming show at the Cambridge Art Salon on our events page which coincides with the CAN (Cambridge Artists Network) meet-up on the 8th of August. 'General Synopsis', an audio-visual installation by Petter Sutton & Andrew Coleman will open at 6:30pm and will be followed by the CAN meet-up.

The Rebel Arts gig ' Rebel Spring' has now been confirmed to take place at 8pm at the Romsey Labour Club on the 16th of August. You can also find photos from Elise Nuding's event 'Walking Paths' on our gallery page on our website as well as images from the FutureCity seminar that took place at Hot Numbers.


In other news the deadline for the Cam Lakes competition is only 4 days away, so get drawing! You can find all the information on the competition here.

LocalSecrets, Ed Jenkins, Shindig & Rebel Arts


First of all, thanks to writer Patrick Widdess for writing up a lovely review of our main events on Saturday- you can read the article here. You can also now find a page dedicated to your photos from our events in our Gallery as well as a page for our Press coverage over on our website



In other news, local filmmaker Ed Jenkins will be joining Shindig at our closing event on the 17th of August to show his short film ‘ The Road’. You can also catch his film at various locations between now and then, here is a short clip of the film. You can buy your tickets for this event here.

On Friday the 16th of August, Rebel Arts will be a presenting their event ‘ Rebel Spring’ – this will be a night of world music taking place at the Romsey Labour Club. The time is yet to be confirmed but will be updated soon, you can visit the Rebel Arts website here.
